The Tahoe collection represents the sweet spot in Fuji's hardtail range of bikes. Words like 'workhorse' and 'all-rounder' get thrown around when people talk about the Tahoe 1.0, but we prefer to simply call it a solid bike at a great value. Proven geometry, durable materials, and reliable componentry all go into the Tahoe build, making it the optimal choice for a dependable machine that will keep going year after year. Fuji decided to base the Tahoe 1.0 around its proven A2-SL alloy frame. Super light alloy tubes were chosen for the hardtail design, as their known durability and comfortable ride characteristics made them the ideal choice for a stable cross-country frame construction. Fuji designed the front triangle with its oversized PowerCurve down tube, hydroformed top tube, and semi-integrated tapered head tube. At the rear triangle, Fuji welded the A2-SL tubes to form its 'A-style' seatstays and cold-forged dropouts, with a CNC'd post disc mount and replaceable hanger rounding out the back end. Fuji decided to pair its hardtail frame platform with RockShox's reliable Recon Gold TK fork. Going along with the dependable theme of the Tahoe design, this fork features a bomber alloy steerer mated to 6061 T-6 aluminum crown. Its Solo Air technology soaks up the bumps, to keep your confidence remaining firmly intact through its 100mm of trail-smoothing travel. The fork features Rock Shox's TurnKey lockout, allowing you to firm up your ride as needed. Fuji knew that a burly frameset would require equally tough componentry, which is why it spec'd out the Tahoe 1.0 with Shimano's proven Deore XT group. The front derailleur is the XT with 34.9mm clamp, and the rear is the XT SGS Shadow. The crankset is the XT Hollow Tech II with integrated spindle and triple (24/32/42T) ring configuration, with a Deore 11-36T 10-speed cassette out back. A KMC X10 chain was selected for long-running life and smooth operation, with shifting controlled using Deore Rapid Fire shifters. Read More....
